Career Goals

I am an outgoing problem-solver with a technical background and education. I thrive on keeping up with advances in information technology that drive a more connected society. My ultimate career goal is to blend business acumen with my IT experience, and become a guru and primary influence in an evolving IT landscape. Accountability and honest communication are the driving forces behind my work ethic, as well as the old saying "hard work builds character" (Thanks Dad.) PERSONAL PROFILE

I am Texas born, Rochester raised, and Philadelphia settled. I love warm weather, traveling, food and I'm a proud cat parent. I have a mean sweet tooth and recently started my own bakery as a side hustle. I've adopted Philly sports teams, and I am a proud member of the Sons of Ben. I'm a super-casual photography hobbyist. I believe there is no room for mistakes and regrets, only learning experiences.

SYSTEMS ENGINEER, DELL EMC

September 2014 - Present

  • Consultative presales role engaging with enterprise customers to recommend IT solutions compatible with their short and long term infrastructure needs

  • Provide education and insight on industry trends; demo and discuss EMC technologies

  • Communicate effectively at varied technical levels within customer organizations, ranging from operations/engineers to the C-suite

  • Provide consistent, timely support in pre- and post-sales activities

NOC ENGINEER, SHORETEL (SHORETEL SKY)

September 2013 - June 2014

  • Build, maintain and assess routing on Cisco CPE/NPE devices

  • Troubleshooting of proprietary applications and soft switches for VoIP connectivity and quality

  • Interact with Support Representatives, Client IT, and other internal departments to resolve critical issues

  • Engage upstream carriers for resolution of down T1 and MPLS circuits

Bachelor of Science in Applied Networking and System Administration. Completed in 2013. Hands-on, depth based technical education into network protocols, network and systems management and troubleshooting. Experience heavily based in Cisco networking devices, as well as several versions of Windows and Linux hosts/servers.

Associate of Science in Liberal Arts, General Studies. Completed 2005. Well-rounded coursework in math, science, arts and literature. Courses taken in 2010-11 focusing on breadth based IT concepts such as object oriented programming, database design, systems planning and design, and project management.
